This month has represented so many changes – I feel like I’m literally watching Baby Markers learn something new every day. I’ve become so nostalgic because she’s beginning to act like more and more of a toddler – I miss her tiny little baby snuggles. I’ll try to hold it together for the sake of this post, but I can’t believe she’s getting so close to a year old!

Eating

Still eating anything and everything. We’ve slowly started to introduce bigger chunks of food that she can learn to take bites on her own, whereas before I’d been giving her small manageable pieces that she could pick up. She’s catching on quickly, and will even take food out of her mouth if it’s too big. This makes me worry so much less about choking, which is always in the back on my mind. While she doesn’t have them too often, her favorite foods are pizza and chicken pot pie. We know this because she literally shovels it into her mouth!

Stats

Not sure of height and weight – but most of her 6 month onesies are getting too small, and her 9 month footed-pajamas are getting a little snug! She’s definitely growing. Still wearing size 3 Honest diapers and just moved on to size 3 shoes.

Sleeping

No change here. Still goes to bed at 8pm every night and sleeps 11-12 hours. Her morning nap is the least reliable, anywhere between 1-2 hours. Her afternoon nap is almost always 2 solid hours (of productivity for Mom :)).

Development

Still r0cking 5 teeth – we’ve had a whole month without a single teething episode! I fear we are WAY overdue so I hope the next few don’t all show up at once. On the walking front, she’s expertly cruising on everything and will create makeshift walkers out of anything light enough to push around the living room. She loves to climb on anything she can reach, like her new chair she got for Hanukkah. She’s steady enough to push around on this little ride-n-glide – she’s become pretty proficient and she loves it! She babbles constantly, but no real words yet. Her favorite time of day is still bathtime and she loves to dunk her face under and dive from one end to the other… not kidding. She has also started dancing, wiggling side to side and waving her arms in the air any time she hears music. It’s quite possible the cutest thing ever!

Likes: dancing, riding her scooter, diving in the bathtub, pulling my glasses off my face, making funny faces, eating, going out to lunch, long walks, climbing, music, banging toys and shakers together to make her own music

Dislikes: long car rides, being held, when she’s not allowed to crawl around a public place, when we stay inside all day (this list doesn’t seem to change too much!)

My baby is becoming less and less of a baby each day!
