I am already starting to think about Drake and Juliet’s birthdays in the summer, which got me thinking about party planning in other months as we start to think about trying for our third child. Here are some great party themes for every season of the year.

Though I have two summer babies I have always wanted to try a milk and cookies party. This can obviously be done any time of the year but something about winter time makes me think of cookies, leaving them out for Santa, baking treats as gifts, and also I imagine milk to do better sitting out in colder months vs warmer months outside. You can make a cookie buffet for the kids to sample or even let them get into the decorating themselves with a cookie making station.
You could also make a gingerbread themed party in the month of December before the holidays! A hot cocoa bar would be a wonderful addition as well!
Another adorable idea is this Polar Bear & Penguin party filled with arctic treats. Drake would go crazy for this party filled with animals. You can always add in other winter creatures including reindeer or seals for more fun.
Frozen of course is the perfect theme for a winter party. If you didn’t want to be that specific you could always do a snowflake themed party or even a winter carnival, just move the games inside.
Lastly how sweet would a Nutcracker party be based on the classic ballet.

Spring time always makes me think of the saying April showers bring May flowers and what an adorable theme that would be! Rainbows and showers go hand in hand so a rainbow party would also be perfect for this time of year.
You could also try and lamb or a lion themed party as a play on the old saying “In like a lion out like a lamb.”
With Easter bunnies are also a sweet theme for spring. You could even be specific and try a Peter the Rabbit party.
For the little boys there are always frogs and The Princess and the Frog for little girls.
And what would spring be without blooming flowers in the gardens. To add on to the garden theme you could do a fairy and/or gnome party or even ladybugs or bees.

I would really love to try having an ice cream parlor themed party when Drake & Juliet get a little older. Summer isnt summer without ice cream right?
Mr. Chocolate and his family love camping and while I hate it, I do love s’mores. A camping themed party with a s’mores bar would be right up my alley. You could even try to make a Wilderness Explorer party a la Pixar’s UP.
How cute would a drive in movie themed party be? A projector in the yard and you’re all set to go!
Ocean themed parties are perfect for the summer as are Mermaid and Pirate ones too! Drake loves the movie Finding Nemo so a Nemo party would be perfect for him!
What’s the summer without the sun! What a bright and cheery theme!
And who doesn’t love the circus and carnivals when they visit in the summer time?

Fall is the perfect time for a woodland celebration! You could even focus on just one creature and have a fox, owl, or a deer party.
A country fair with apple bobbing and hay mazes is such a fun fall time activity.
Since pumpkins are everywhere during the fall, why not throw a pumpkin decorating party for your little one.
All the kids love Halloween so why not throw a party and let the kids dress up, parents will love getting multiple wears out of their kiddos costumes. For the older kids you could try a masquerade party.

I love the gingerbread party idea. My extended family has gotten too big for holiday dinner but I’d like to try a daytime party during the holidays (and put my mom in charge of.the gingerbread).

We had a milk and cookies party for our son’s 2nd birthday and it was so fun and cute!!! We did everything you mention. The cookie bar, the kids decorated cookies and we had a flavored milk bar. If you are considering it you should have the party! https://www.etsy.com/transaction/190155384
These are the invites we used. I love smiling food! (Had her switch the pink to red). I love parties!!!

So many great ideas here!
Our eldest is a December baby but we are actually have an ice cream themed party for his fourth in a few weeks. I’m hoping it will give us a bit of a summer vibe even in the darkest days of Swedish winter! Last year he had a train party (and I pulled off a train cake) and the year before he had a baking party which was so so fun! We had mini aprons, chef’s hats, mini rolling pins etc.
Two years ago I put together a whole post about a Breakfast at Tiffany’s party theme for my friend’s daughter who is an April baby (birth stone: diamond). And then this past April, our expected May baby decided to come on April 30th, so I am looking forward to doing a Tiffany’s party for her.
Our August baby is totally into horses, so I’m hoping to do a party with pony rides and stuff for him when he turns 3.
