It may be because I am Australian, but I have only recently discovered Wikki Stix. I can’t believe how fabulous they are!
They are non toxic, bendable and made in the USA. They are fantastic for fine motor skills and developing creativity. The learning opportunities are endless. I love craft ideas which can be used to teach a little geometry or literacy!
My children have used the Wikki Stix to make shapes (far top) and to write their name (above). This is the work of my four year old who is very focused on writing his name and forming the letters correctly. This work is invaluable. The ‘s’ is so hard for him to get right, and rather than practice with a pencil and paper the stix are really easy to bend and are reusable. A really tactile, hands on way to learn letters!
The Wikki Stix are sticky enough to make 3D shapes and objects, but they are really clean to use. They have been perfect to keep my children happy during our school holidays.
Do you use Wikki Stix at home or perhaps you used them as a child?

I had some as a kid. I got them on a road trip one summer, Best Western or some hotel chain gave them out in little kits for kids. I haven’t thought about those for a long time.
