Another birthday and now my sweet Juliet is a three year old! Everyday she just seems less and less like a baby and more like a little girl.

As per tradition we started the morning off with balloons. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving them in Juliet’s room like I do with Drake since he is older and a bit more reliable, so Drake and I walked in with them in the morning while singing Happy Birthday.

This year we decided to do a small family party instead of a big one for Drake and Juliet and let them pick out a special place to go to in lieu of the party. I picked Sesame Place for Juliet since she still loves her La La (Elmo). I have never been to Sesame Place and I’m excited to see their reaction to the park. This will be the first time Juliet can ride rides since she has always been too small at the fairs and Boardwalk so far. We will see if she is as daring as her big brother who loves any ride big or small.

We got ready for the party and our special surprise for Juliet was this inflatable water slide feature I had acquired. Mr Chocolate set it up and it was a big hit for both Drake and Juliet, as well as entertaining my BILs pretty nicely.

After a delicious shish kabob lunch it was time for homemade cupcakes and of course singing and blowing out the candle.  Juliet has never met a sweet she didnt love and because it was her birthday, she got to have 2 cupcakes.

The kids were pretty tired out after the long day of excitement so we waited until the next day to show them Juliet’s present from us, her first bike! Drake also got a bike for his kindergarten graduation.

Two was such a wonderful year for us and I can’t wait to see what three brings for us. It’s the start of new adventures for Juliet as she starts school, dance class, and explores her world even more. Hold on, three is going to be a wonderful ride!
