Ahh, I have a 6 month old! And she is silly, loves to “dance” in her high chair, giggle, and eat all kinds of food. We’ve been having so much fun in the Hopscotch household lately! Baby H has definitely been making me feel loved lately: she gets so excited to see me and is just so sweet and fun to be around. She is getting bigger and bigger (90th percentile for height and 50th for weight!) and is obsessed with her feet – loves putting them in her mouth.

Baby H has lots of adorable dresses courtesy of my sister. She’s still growing into them!

I was so sad when her size 6 month jeggings became capris! We finally had to upgrade to the 12 month size. I have one long baby!

Comfy outfit!

This shirt (dress??) was from one of our Wittlebee boxes. We’re not regular subscribers – I just don’t think I’ve gotten the combinations right to get things I really love. This piece, however, is one of my favorites I’ve gotten!

Casual pants! We love super casual, relaxed Sundays.

Our “state of the family” right now is this:

What we’ve learned:  We are finally at the point where we’ve been able to “reclaim” a little bit of our time together as a couple. On the weekends when Baby H takes a long afternoon nap we have been able to cook together. I think we had both forgotten how nice it is to do super simple things together without the distraction of a baby. Mind you, we are always happy to have Baby H with us, but a little couple time now and then is great.

What we’re enjoying right now: Giggles and dancing! Baby H is officially ticklish and I think I could listen to her giggles all day long. She has also started “dancing” by putting her hands in the air and rocking back and forth. I love it!

What our biggest struggles are: Time management in the mornings. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we have our nanny share. Since the other family hosts, we have to get out the door with everything I need for work plus everything Baby H needs for the day (milk, diapers, bottles, etc), get all bundled up for the cold weather and walk the 10 minutes to the other house. We are always running behind, which puts me behind for getting to work on time. It is tough!

What has been Baby H’s most exciting milestone: She finally rolled from back to tummy, but only once in her crib and we haven’t seen her do it since. She’s getting ready to start crawling but not quite yet. And she’s become a pretty good sitter although she easily gets distracted and topples over!

What we’re looking forward to: We are nervous yet excited for her to crawl! It will definitely change the playing field for us by having her be more mobile, but we are excited to see her being able to move around!
