Mrs. Blue’s post about spending on traditions rather than presents last Christmas really stuck with me. Since then we’ve made a bigger effort to incorporate regular family traditions, and hopefully Charlie and Olive will have fond memories of them as they grow up. This past weekend was a family cultural day at Charlie and Olive’s Korean school, and all the parents helped the kids make kimbap, a traditional Korean dish. The kids had so much fun,we decided to start making kimpbap regularly at home. Because it involves a lot of ingredients and is time consuming to make we won’t be able to do it every week, but hopefully we’ll find the time to do it at least once a month. One food that the entire family loves and is quick and easy to make is pizza, so we’ve started a tradition to make pizza together every Friday. So happy pizza Friday!
