My youngest son can really immerse himself in role-play with his action figures, Legos, and even stuffed animals. I love seeing him bring his otherwise inanimate “friends” to life, and thought he might appreciate a cute little bed to tuck them in at the end of the day. I got a bit carried away sewing up some mini-sized textiles, but my son was ecstatic by the end result — to the point of actually falling asleep next to it in bed (yes, a bed in a bed!).

The ingredients to make your own involve just cardboard, a box cutter, and large metal ruler. While no glue or tape is required since the joints nest together, you may want a little reinforcement if the cardboard gets bent and beat a little bit from play.
